The Three Belles are a professional 1940s vocal trio inspired by The Andrews Sisters.
The Three Belles all studied Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Portsmouth and formed the group in their final year. They all found that they had a mutual love and almost obsession with The Andrews Sisters and their impressive harmonies, vocal style and characterful performances. After graduating, each with First Class Honours Degrees in July 2011, the girls decided to go full time!
They have performed at IOW Fest, West End Live at Trafalgar Square, The Royal Albert Hall, The Ritz and The Savoy, and have entertained audiences of up to 14,000 people! They have produced and promoted their own sell out tours at such venues as The Portsmouth Guildhall.
The past couple of years has seen the girls performing live on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC South Today and The X Factor Talk Talk Ad. They will also be featured on ITV’s ‘Inside The National Trust’ this year. In 2012 The Three Belles’ Christmas single reached number 5 in the itunes UK Jazz chart. In 2013, The Belles released their debut album, ‘In Full Swing’ featuring an incredible Big Band, led by their fantastic drummer, William Keel-Stocker. Click here to buy.
They also regularly tour France with their band, The Bevin Boys.
Last year the girls produced their interactive 1940s experience night, IN THE MOOD at the Portsmouth Guildhall and the St Ives Guildhall, Cornwall, where it SOLD OUT! They also took their theatre show, SING SING SING to The Stag in Sevenoaks and The New Theatre Royal where it SOLD OUT! This year they will be taking a brand new show up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.
