Well we have been super busy bees, organising and promoting our In The Mood Tour, posting new videos and bookings have been flying in for next year already! How exciting.
But the last few weeks have been rather fun, as we have been to some lovely places and met some wonderful people. We performed at several care homes in Hampshire and Kent including a show for Nellie’s 100th Birthday! She got her letter from the Queen, ate lots of cakes and sang along to all of our songs! Since then we also had the pleasure of performing at Summertime Swing with the Jive Aces! We also performed at the amazing 1940s wedding of our good friends, Pauline and Tim.
A particularly sunny afternoon was spent at The Fountain Inn in Ashurst where we entertained the punters in the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style gardens of this gorgeous country pub. We wore our new sailor style rockabilly dresses and danced away in their outdoor function room complete with skittle alley and piano! On that Sunday afternoon they also had performances from a piano/bass duo that entertained with Trad Jazz and New Orleans numbers including some of our favourite songs e.g. ‘La Vie En Rose’ and ‘As Time Goes By’.
Everyone enjoyed a beautiful pub lunch in the sun as we harmonised away, and in our break whilst chomping away on our own posh sandwiches and chips, we had an explore of the gardens, complete with orchard, pond, and even Miniature Manor! Our Gail was just about small enough to live in there… hehe.
We would highly recommend this pub as it has great food, a lovely atmosphere, lots of things to do and good wine! A great day for all the family.
Come on down to In The Mood in Exeter on the 9th August to be whisked back in time for a night of nostalgia and fantastic entertainment! 1940s dress code is a must.
Meet Dorothy’s husband Johnny who will be celebrating his first night out on leave, sip our ‘Searchlight’ cocktail at the bar with Gail as she charms the soldiers with her stories of being a WREN, and spend the evening jiving with Betty as she flirtatiously foxtrots the night away!
Lindy Hop your socks off to the sounds of The Three Belles, The Bevin Boys and some fantastic guest acts, including a hilarious comedy sketch inspired by Max Miller! If the siren sounds, you can warm up in the air raid shelter with sing a long songs and Bovril!
Keep calm in that black out, don’t forget your gas mask and come and join us for a jolly good knees up!

So as we mentioned before we are touring with our show ‘In The Mood’ and its first stop will be Bisley Pavillion in Brookwood, Surrey. On the 12th July at 7.30pm come along and join us for some brilliant 1940s fun. We shall have live entertainment from The Bevin Boys and of course The Three Belles. We will also be joined by special guests including a Max Miller style comedian and maybe even some 40s VIPs!
Come and dance the night away to some swingin’ tunes, sip cocktails at the bar with a handsome soldier, have a gulp of Bovril with the belles in the air raid shelter if times get rough and join in with some fun sing along songs. What a way to spend an evening hey?
You may know The Three Belles as a 1940s vocal trio, but singing is only one of the exciting roles they take on, when being a belle. They also write and produce their own shows including their 1940s experience night ‘In The Mood’. This show has run for two years now at The Portsmouth Guildhall and last year at The St Ives Guildhall too. It always sells out and has the audience leaving on a big 1940s style high!
Now The Three Belles are launching their tour of this fantastic night out! There will be 8 dates this year coming to a town near you!
The night includes performances by The Three Belles and The Bevin Boys, Max Miller style stand up comedy, Guest performers, dancing, themed cocktails, sing along songs and much more!
