Today we had the privilege of meeting with the wonderful Sheila Hancock. As well as being an incredibly successful actress, Sheila is also the Chancellor of The University of Portsmouth. We three belles formed at the University and graduated from Portsmouth in July, so thought it would be a great opportunity to receive some advice and guidance for our career, from the person who granted us our degrees.

We had a lovely time talking to her about what we do and the love we all have for our productions and performances, as well as hearing about Sheila’s latest ventures and projects. We learnt a great deal, received valuable advice, contacts and encouragement in our new careers, which we hope to take on board for all future projects.

It was such a fantastic experience for The Three Belles, to have a meeting with someone who has had, and is still having, such a full and fruitful career. But most of all we enjoyed having such an honest conversation with someone so knowledgable about the arts, and hearing the real truth about what we are letting ourselves in for!
