The Bevin Boys are an authentic 1940s Swing Band, who also perform as The Three Belles’ backing band, and we are thrilled to have them.
What makes The Bevin Boys different to other jive, swing and “jazz” bands is their faithfulness to the original sounds of the 30s, 40s and early 50s. From their tone, arrangements, instruments and costumes, The Bevin Boys are a real nostalgia trip! If it is the real sound of the golden era of dance music you seek, look no further!
The boys are a trio comprising guitar, double bass and drums with drummer, Will doubling on vocals.
The band is now available as anything up to a six piece band, adding piano, trumpet and saxophone to the mix!
The boys recorded The Three Belles’ debut single Belles Are Swingin’ with them in 2011, which is available on itunes or on the online shop. Will also recorded The Three Belles first album, due to be released in May. He wrote 6 original songs for the CD, played drums, sang vocals, recorded and produced the album! Its called ‘In Full Swing’.

So far the Bevin Boys have played with the Belles on some huge events including their tour of Sing Sing Sing and In The Mood at venues such as The Portsmouth Guildhall, The New Theatre Royal, St Ives Guildhall and The Stag in Sevenoaks. This year will see them play such prestigious events as Victorious Festival, Twinwood Festival, Upton Jazz Festival, The Royal Albert Hall and Carentan for the Normandy D Day Commemorations.
